{"id":16,"date":"2021-02-24T01:13:25","date_gmt":"2021-02-24T01:13:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/woodchipwonder.com\/?page_id=16"},"modified":"2021-02-24T01:13:25","modified_gmt":"2021-02-24T01:13:25","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/woodchipwonder.com\/?page_id=16","title":{"rendered":"About Us"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>It all began when we were kids.&nbsp;Our mom was always doing arts and crafts at home as we were growing up, and we were always included in the many different projects.&nbsp;We had so much fun learning and making things\u2026and still do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mom passed away of cancer in 1994 and that is when we started making the wood chips in her honor.&nbsp;We just gave them away at first, but then people asked to purchase a \u201cbowl full\u201d, so as payment, we asked them to make a donation to The American Cancer Society.&nbsp;&nbsp; A portion of every order we receive is donated to The American Cancer Society.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People started asking if we had a website, and my sister said, \u201cWe can do this!&nbsp;Scotty knows how to build a website.\u201d&nbsp;A special thank you to Scotty and Cari, for their expertise and persistence in putting our website together.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It all began when we were kids.&nbsp;Our mom was always doing arts and crafts at home as we were growing up, and we were always included in the many different projects.&nbsp;We had so much fun learning and making things\u2026and still do.
